He holds a BA in Product Design from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and has gained valuable professional experience at local studios including Nozo Company Limited and Studio Ryte. His diverse portfolio includes projects in furniture, architectural lighting, ceramic tableware, and consumer technology. In 2021, Sam earned an MA in Product Design from ECAL University of Art and Design in Switzerland. Following this, he completed an internship at Industrial Facility in London. Currently, Sam works as an industrial designer at JPA Design, specializing in commercial aircraft seating for international airlines. He combines ergonomic research, and thoughtful design to create seating solutions that are comfortable, functional, and aesthetically refined to meet the rigorous standards of global aviation clients. The project tasked us to reimagine primary school chairs and to design a product that fits into the operating culture of future learning environments.&nbsp; Research shows that a flexible learning environment can help reducing students’ stress and focusing on their task. Therefore the future of classrooms is expected to be more flexible, instead of a fixed classroom plan. Dual stool can be used in a free space area that students are allowed to work on the floor. Thanks to the linoleum lamination on the sitting surface, it can be use both as a stool or a low table as the material is pleasant to write on. Due to the pandemic outbreak in 2020, the interaction between objects and users inevitably changed. Unconscious behaviors like opening the door without grabbing the handle are common as people are more aware of keeping their hands virus-free. This project focuses on the balance between function and aesthetics. Unlike the adaptive devices that configure on existing door handles for hands-free opening, the H3 handle is unobtrusive. The shape minimizes unnecessary distraction and harmonizes the atmosphere in spaces such as hotels, offices, clinics, or even our homes. With the world's aging population and the increasing number of travelers, wheelchair service at airports will become more demanding and intensive in the future, which could increase the labor of assistance providers. With the aid of electric-powered wheels, Motri reduces airport attendants' workload, who have to push heavy wheelchairs and carry cabin luggage during their service. The wheelchair is equipped with a technology that allows it to be completely autonomous when it is not in use so that it returns to the battery charging station by itself. Most of the public bus traveling experiences today in dense cities are stressful and many users’ needs are unsatisfied with the current bus design solution. These situations will get worse in the future due to the expanding urban population. The concept has to fulfill several requirements: promote user acceptance and facilitate the operation of autonomously driven electric vehicles for public transport. OMNI BUS is an inclusive on-demand&nbsp;autonomous bus transportation service concept that&nbsp;aims to serve all kinds of users regardless of their&nbsp;age, level of mobility, and specific requirements&nbsp;to offer an enjoyable and comfortable traveling&nbsp;experience.
